My recommendation would be if you do not care about the battery, speaker or having a hybrid workflow of doing standalone/controller mode then just buy the One. When we say MPC Live II commands all your external MIDI gear, we mean it. Designed from the ground up, this dual tweeter-woofer speaker system delivers. ![]() However if you don't care about that then you can still expand the One's storage out through a SD card or USB stick. MPC Live II is the first MPC with a built-in stereo studio monitoring system. Neither MPC will allow you to mount your internal storage drive and access it when you have it connected to a PC, but it will mount your additional internal storage. The extra storage is nice but it really only becomes absolutely necessary when you want to switch between working on a PC with the MPC and working standalone. However there are shortcuts you can utilize on the Live such as holding the menu button down and then pressing the pad which corresponds to the menu you want to go into, I don't think a lot of people realize this. With the Live you need to go into the main menu to go into Program Edit. ![]() The nice thing about the One is that it has a lot more dedicated buttons on the device for things such as Program Edit. ![]() There are differences in the layout but I wouldn't call them drastic. ![]()
